I remember when I was a little kid. Football was for breakfast, lunch and supper. It guided our lives and we would never got bored of it. We didn’t actually have a Jabulani kind of soccer ball but from trash we would make a ball using polythene bags and sisal fibres. This was the best soccer ball ever. Then with time, we formed a team and we played it just like professionals. I was Thierry Henry, because in him I used to see my very own future. My hood boys gave themselves iconic names of prominent footballers like John Terry, Wayne Roonie, Peter Crouch, Christiano, Kaka, Pele, Vampersie, Zinedine Zidane, Leon Messi et al just to compliment their desire to achieve and make it just like them. Football was the change.
